Web Site Design

Websites are your address on the World Wide Web. They are your company’s office, your company’s advertisement, in fact - your home on the Internet. To get people to visit your home is one thing. To keep them interested long enough to place an order is a totally different ball game. There is nothing technical about the design of the website. It is an art that has been defined, refined and then re-refined over years of hard work.

Search Value is proud to be a part of a large and vibrant industry that offers services for website design and development. It is never hard to be part of any industry, but to stand out requires skill, ability and love for the job.

And with Search Value, there is never a dull moment. We understand the true essence of designing a website. We understand how menus should be designed to increase the emphasis of the content. We thrive on our ability to control the user’s eyes in the direction we want, on the website. We make it appealing to the eye, pleasing to the mind and we don’t forget the main ingredient of a good website – the content.

Our websites ensure that information is available easily to the user. Navigability is of utmost importance. Keeping in mind the main goal of increasing business, our websites are fine tuned to handle the ever changing requirements of search engines. We keep pace with the latest industry trends and not just that, we ensure that there is scalability for future growth. SEO is a major priority for us as well. We understand the importance of conquering the competition in every way and so, we strive for it with every move.

Google Goggles prevents EUI – emails under the influence

Google engineer, Jon Perlow, came up with Google Goggles after he sent an email to an ex-girlfriend after a long night of drinking. He asked her if they could get back together and apparently things didn’t work out very well.

“Hopefully Mail Goggles will prevent many of you out there from sending messages you wish you hadn't. Like that late night memo -- I mean mission statement -- to the entire firm,” writes Perlow.

You enable Goggles by going into Gmail’s settings and then labs. After enabling Goggles and saving the changes, you’ll see a green lab beaker next to your user name. Then go back into settings to set up the days and times you want Goggles to be activated. So if you party hard on Friday nights, you might want to set this thing to hit on Fridays from 8 PM to 3 AM. You can also set the difficulty of the math problems from 1 being the easiest to 5 being the most difficult.

If you try to send an email during the enabled times, you’ll be presented with five math problems after you click the send button. The problems are a mix of easy addition, subtraction, division and multiplication problems (don’t worry there’s no trig or calculus here) which should pose no problems if you’re sober or Asian. The test must be completed successfully in 60 seconds or the email will be rejected. Here’s the weird thing, you can take the test an unlimited number of times and the test doesn’t work on the iPhone.

So far the reaction to the new Gmail feature has been mixed. KPIX-TV’s Kiet Do tested a bunch of drinkers at a local pub and many couldn’t complete the problems in the allotted time. Some people told Do that Goggles was a great idea, but another patron said, “I hate this to be honest with you."
